I am Nemanja and I'm one of the ten lucky interns who are taking part in Klika’s internship programme. Our internship team consists of 10 people: 3 web developers, 2 android developers, 2 iOS developers, 2 QA and 1 DevOps engineer. Even though our internship started 3 weeks ago, I've already been through lots of things. We work on an interesting project which brings exciting challenges every day.
Klika internship programme is very organized and conceived in the manner to give the interns insight into real-world working conditions. Every week starts at 8:30 a.m. with sprint planning meeting, when we are given all tasks for the ongoing week. For the rest of the week our day starts around 9 a.m. with a daily team stand-up meeting led by our mentors Ilija Tesic and Naida Huseinovic. At this meeting we discuss tasks from the previous day and talk about plans for the rest of the day. After this, we are ready to work!
My job, as one of three Ruby on Rails developers on our team, is to work on both front-end and back-end, which means we create both web application and its core logic. Our back-end logic is shared across all platforms, therefore we have a big responsibility to finish everything before the deadline. Luckily, Klika makes sure we spend quality time during working hours too. We can take a break when we feel tired and go for coffee with our colleagues or simply stay inside and play mini-golf! Also, interns are given all the resources as if they were Klika’s full-time employees. This actually amazes me.
KLIKA PRAKSA is my first opportunity to work on something this big and it’s already been an astonishing experience. The team is great and it feels like we are all a source of motivation to each other, because we are all ambitious and ready to push our limits. A great deal of our progress is the result of efforts and support of our mentors and the rest of Klika team. I am really excited to see the end result of this internship and I am really looking forward to the following period at Klika.
